Koko B. Ware vs Tom Stone

"The Birdman" takes on perpetual underachiever Stone in a match that typified WWF Superstars of Wrestling. Koko busts out the Ghostbuster, the "baddest but never used on the baddest guys" signature move.

El Satanico transforms Rencor Latino into EL AVERNO~!

One from the perpetually bizarre world of Lucha Libre, or Mexican wrestling.

I am a fan of Averno, but did not realise he was erm, created in such a way.

Quite possibly the greatest thing ever

Yet sadly, I cannot embed it.

Tsch.

Anyway, go here: "AHH! It's NOT hot!"

New Breed talk about meeting Transformers

The New Breed were around in the mid-to-late 1980's. They claimed to be from the future, the year 2002 precisely.

In this interview they talk about riding SPACE CYCLES and a meeting with the DECEPTICONS, as though they were real creatures.

They also invent new words, such as "disinvigourated"

Sadly, 2002 has long gone and no trace of the New Breed were to be found. Nor Tekno Team 2000.

Tony Angelo vs Lou Albano

Two managers, wrestling.

Nepotism presents: Angelo Mosca Jr

Angelo Jr was the son of "King Kong" Mosca, a former star Canadian football player and big-time wrestling bully. Angelo Jr was fast-tracked to the big time, but was clearly not ready. Hell, he was barely ready for a GCW match on Mum's lawn. We'd love to have him though.

Here he is in "action" in two bouts.

Angelo Jr was not the first, nor was he the last to get a break in the wrestling business due to his name.

Superstar Billy Graham - the 80's

Andre the Giant gets into it with Hacksaw Jim Duggan

A great start to a feud that produced no great matches.

The British Bulldog is BIZARRE.

Off-camera WWF/E footage

FOMR YOUTUBE: "These are taken from the signal which is sent to the broadcast truck before, during and after the shows. If you happend to own a dish antenna, you could track down this signal. I made a compilation of the stuff that you didn't see. Enjoy!"

Right up there with McMahon & Clark hosting all-new bloopers and practical jokes.

Dick Assman vs Bret "Hitman" Hart in an arm wrestling contest

You couldn't make this up if you tried.

Mad Man Pondo vs Super Ninja

This is a portion of a broadcast of Herb Abram's UWF promotion.

The group featured former stars who were able to make decent money on a limited basis.

Possibly because the other matches, such as this one, featured 'talent' that was very inexpensive.

That and the pay-per-views that drew 400 paid to 6,000 seat arenas and drew buy rates so low they make the Marianas Trench seem like K2. But enough, let's not put boot in on the product.

Because Capt Lou Albano and Bruno Sammartino, the commentators and money-making legends, put the boots to this for us.

And they were paid to do it.

Only in UWF.

Road Warriors vs Ken Lucas & Zulu

At 2:54 you will see a beautiful GCW-like moment.

Scott Hall and Larry Zbyszko watch Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior

Maybe I should send them some GCW to watch.
Not sure how they'd take Big Jobs vs Sullen Magpie.

Norvell Austin vs Ted Allen

Now I'll clarify that there is nothing wrong with this match.

This is classic, simple, late 70's TV wrestling with two talented wrestlers.

What's worth noting though, is the commentary.

It is THE old-time, cliche-filled southern wrestling commentary.

"The BODY-slam."

"Went down like a sack of dimes"

etc

It's all there.

The Dingo Warrior cuts a promo on Rick Rude

Before there was the Ultimate Warrior, there was the Dingo Warrior.

Which was the Ultimate Warrior, minus all the parts that made the character interesting or exciting.

EXCEPT for the wacky soundbites.

Here, Mr Warrior informs Mr Rude that he is going to remove his arms then use Mr Rude's own arms to induce vomiting from Mr Rude, culminating in Mr Rude being forced to write "Dingo" in his own sputum some 500 times.

As we say in our little corner of the world, "Crikey".

Big Boss Man vs Jim McPhearson

From Superstars of Wrestling, 1989.

The Bossman was just a classic bad guy. He was at his best in short matches, but had some longer ones of note against Hogan and Mr Perfect.

But to me, he was made for these short TV matches.

Hacksaw Duggan and Harley Race brawl at the 37th Annual Slammy Awards

The culmination of brawls in history up to that point, and the inspiration of all that followed.

Race even uses a live chicken as a weapon!

Boy Tony

I have no words to describe this.

The Dragon Master debuts

Starts off okay with the low-budget horror type promo video and music, but then there is talking.

Uninteresting talking.

Then the Dragon Master emerges from his shipping crate.

To a thunderous round of indifference.

Classic WCW: THAT'S THE WALL!

Ah WCW.

The place where they accentuated the negative and eliminated the positive.

Listen to how excited the commentators are about a man on top of a building.

"He must be 15 stories high!"

Yes, men are able to ascend tall building by using the stairs or elevators installed inside the buildings.

The early days of Hulk Hogan

Here, Terry 'the Hulk' Boulder takes on a very non-threatening prospect in the form of the masked "Outlaw"

And here we have Sterling Golden going up against the ever-present Chick Donovan, although I don't remember Chick not having dyed-blonde hair.
